IT WILL BLOOM was started by 2 seasoned business professionals, who met through a mutual business contact, and realized they shared the same passion for building businesses - particularly female led businesses. Together they are working to realize IT WILL BLOOM’s mission of empowering female entrepreneurs and business leaders to succeed.
Galia Gichon is an independent personal financial expert with more than 20 years in financial services, including nearly 10 years on Wall Street and an MBA in Finance. Her career has spanned corporate bond research analyst, personal finance expert, angel investor, entrepreneur advisor and author. The last five years she has become actively involved in Angel Investing as an investor and strategic advisor. She has worked with Pipeline Angels, Astia, Topstone Angels and Refinery CT, investing, sourcing deals and providing strategic advice on financing, financials and sales. She focuses on women-owned, socially responsible and impact startups.
She started her career at Bear Stearns and Nomura Securities as a bond research analyst for institutional clients and published numerous chapters in Fabozzi's "Handbook of Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities.” She went on to Institutional Investor working with the top asset managers in United States and Europe for their fixed income, pension funds, asset management and infrastructure products.
After leaving Wall Street, she founded Down-to-Earth Finance, an independent financial education firm and quickly became an expert in the personal finance industry making numerous media appearances including Today Show, CNN, Good Morning America New York Times and more. She is a frequent speaker at Barnard College’s Athena Center for Leadership, Freelancers Union and organizations teaching independent personal finance. She is also the author of “My Money Matters” which was featured on TODAY SHOW. Galia has an MBA in Finance from Fordham University and a BSBA in Finance from University of Florida.
Andrea Baldecchi Feldman
Andrea Baldecchi Feldman is a brand strategy and operational marketing executive, and strategic advisor to growth businesses. She has more than 20 years of experience in CPG Brand Management and Strategic Advisory services from best-in-class organizations such as Kraft Foods, Coty Inc, and JP Morgan, as well as various mid-market and entrepreneurial ventures. She has extensive experience in P&L holding brand management roles, brand strategy, innovation and new product development, product commercialization, and operational business advisory.
Prior to IT WILL BLOOM, Andrea founded ABF Advisory LLC, a Brand Growth Strategy firm, where for the past 7 years she has been advising companies of varying sizes and sophistication on marketing strategy, new product development, brand growth planning, and business operating strategy. Amongst her clients have been Private Equity portfolio companies, large corporate CPGs, and entrepreneurial start-ups. Andrea is also an industry advisor for Astia, which is a community of experts and investors committed to the success of female entrepreneurs.
Andrea takes a general management approach to marketing and business building, and believes that the keys to success are clear strategy setting, smart plans grounded in business analytics, strong brand building, clear communication, and flawless execution. Andrea has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the NYU Stern School of Business, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
